More to come this week, but a quick note for now about Friday night, which was my last monthly gig
promotion under the OxfordBands.com banner. A fabulous night all round, with star turns especially from Epic45 (who were overheard by our army of spies as splitting opinion between ‘utterly useless’ and ’spectacular’) and The Winchell Riots (pictured – badly), who played a year to the day since we put on their first ever gig. They’re ten times the band they were a year ago, and are clearly going to be something special sometime soon.
Here’s a clip of their performance of ‘I’d Lower You Down’, the final song from their encore, and the last song from my monthly gig promotions. Waah.
